Located within the ancient village of Surano, not far from beautiful sandy beaches on the Adriatic Sea and in an unspoilt and rural landscape of Apulian Salento, lies a beautiful design masseria Borgo Gelso.

Borgo Gelso is the perfect home base in this exceptional region of Puglia: it is quiet but central, surrounded by nature and close to the coast. The owners are happy to share their love for Salento and can organise various special experiences for you - think hikes through nature, canoeing, kayaking or even diving in the clear blue sea, taking Tai Chi classes or just lean back and enjoying Apulian cuisine prepared by a private chef.

Outside the summer months, it is also possible to rent one of the independent accommodations for 2-4 people. Each of the accommodations has hotel-quality bedrooms with private bathrooms, its own kitchen and shared use of the garden with all its inviting seating areas and the swimming pool. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Puglia in an exclusive setting.

Behind the front door of the domain, you find yourself in an oasis of peace and luxury. Elia and Antonia receive you with open arms and give you all kinds of inside tips. The area especially on the east coast has not yet been discovered by foreign tourists. Nice little harbors with delicious food!

Beachclub Kum is a lovely place to lie down / have lunch. Bar sport delicious coffee open from 06.00. Treat yourself to a private yoga session in the garden in the morning .

Borgo Gelso is an exclusive villa, which the owners have completely renovated to bring the old architecture back to its original beauty. Borgo Gelso consists of three independent buildings, each with luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms and its own kitchen.

Bedrooms
The 5 hotel-worthy bedrooms are spread over the three independent buildings. Most rooms have stone vaulted ceilings, which are typical for the area in Puglia, and concrete floors. Everywhere you will find a combination of modern design, eye-catching colours and interesting elements that make each room unique and personal. There are also 5 luxury bathrooms, most of which are ensuite. The bathrooms are equipped with walk-in showers and sometimes even with a spacious bathtub. All rooms have underfloor cooling and heating. In addition, first class mattresses and high quality linen and towels are at your disposal.

Living areas
Each independent building has a cosy living room, with relaxed seating areas, fireplaces and modern kitchens. The kitchens are each equipped with an oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, espresso machine, kettle, hob or cooker and other cooking utensils. Choose to have a private chef come to Borgo Gelso, and enjoy an Apulian meal while enjoying a Primitivo wine from the cellar.

Outside & Pool
Outside, you will find several places to retreat to or to gather with all the guests. Around the pool, you will find several sunbeds and even a huge Balinese lounger. There is also a dining table for 10 people and a barbecue. Finally, there is a spacious roof terrace with a Jacuzzi and beautiful views over Surano. Rural landscape with three vacation accommodations close to the beach in Puglia

In July and August Borgo Gelso is only rented as a whole (for a maximum of 10 persons) and therefore you have exclusive use of all rooms and all luxury facilities. Outside these summer months you can also rent one of the three independent accommodations. You will then share the swimming pool, the garden and the various terraces.

Bedrooms
The 5 hotel-worthy bedrooms are spread over the three independent buildings. Most rooms have stone vaulted ceilings, which are typical for the area in Puglia, and concrete floors. Everywhere you will find a combination of modern design, eye-catching colours and interesting elements that make each room unique and personal. There are also 5 luxury bathrooms, most of which are ensuite. The bathrooms are equipped with walk-in showers and sometimes even with a spacious bathtub.
